Shipping & returns

Dear customer, if you’ve found yourself looking for this page and there is something about the product you have ordered that has not met your expectations, we apologise. We are disappointed that this has occurred. Please contact us to discuss your concerns in the first instance.

Fine Art Originals and Prints

All Artworks (originals and prints) are subject to a 15% deposit.

If the item is damaged, please see below for action to be taken at the time of delivery.

If the item is returned to us for any other reason than it being damaged during delivery, the 15% deposit will be retained to cover costs of materials, packaging and time.

Artworks can be returned to us as long as we are notified of its return within 7 days of delivery. Please email sales@hargest.co.uk

Beyond 7 days, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or an exchange.

To complete your return, we require a receipt of proof of purchase. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. You may repackage the item for return, however, please ensure that the item is packaged in such a way that damage does not occur on its return. We recommend you use a trackable shipping service and purchase shipping insurance. We may need to claim on your shipping insurance if damage has occurred during transit.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item, as this is outside our control. Refunds will be issued upon receiving the artwork in a satisfactory condition and with evidence of shipping within 72hrs of notification.

If you are based in UK, we recommend returning the item via Royal Mail Recorded (1st or 2nd Class Signed For), Royal Mail Special Delivery or similar courier with insurance / tracking as we will not be able to refund any items lost in transit. Please retain your proof of postage as this lists your Tracking Number.

If returning an item from outside of the UK please mark the item a RETURN for customs purposes.

We will contact you via Email to confirm receipt of your return in all cases.

**In busy periods refunds may take longer to issue.

Damaged items upon delivery.

If you notice any serious damage to the outside of the package, please take a photo of the damage before you open it and then open the box in front of the carrier who delivered it. Please do not sign for the delivery and contact us immediately.

Failure to do so may require us to retain your deposit and incur additional fees – as we are unlikely to be able to claim on our shipping insurance without the evidence at the time of delivery.

Delivery

Every effort will be made to complete each order within the specified time, but specified completion dates are a best endeavour approximation and might be extended in times of high volume of orders. We do not accept liability for any loss arising from delay or error in the delivery of the goods.

Furthermore when dealing with third party delivery or couriers we cannot give an exact delivery time guarantee or assure that the delivery will be made as per our indicated time as this is outside of our control.

We shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date. We will not be under any liability whatsoever in the event that we are prevented or delayed from supplying or making delivery of any goods by any reason or cause beyond our control.
